Hi!
I have set the output boundary heat transfer coefficient in the post variable selection of convert, but it is not in my out file. Also, when I look at the 3D results in tecplot, the boundary HTC parameter is always 0 and there is no valid value. Did I set it incorrectly? Thank you for help! |

Hi Tristan,
If I understood your question correctly, there are two aspects here: 1. The post variables you selected will not show up in your output file, the selection of the post variable is used to control what quantities will be included in the 3D post files (.h5 file). 2. By definition, the boundary HTC is the "Heat transfer coefficient for convection boundaries. This value should be equal to that specified in boundary.in". In other words, if you don't have a convection BC in your case setup, this value is expected to be zero. Hope it helps. Yu Zhang CONVERGE Support team |

I guess what you want to have can be achieved by activating the transfer.out file:
transfer_flag: 1 in inputs.in Then use this transfer file for mapping HTC variables to a modified FEA geometry. See the HTC mapping documents from the downloads. |
