Power placement question on a cube

Hi,
In FloTHERM XT, I made a 10 x 10 x 10 mm solid cube to go through a simple thermal simulation with convection and conduction only. I applied a thermal attribute of 2W for the cube and tried to place it right at the center of the overall domain. When I meshed and ran the simulation, I get a temperature range of 147 - 152degC on the cube. From that, it tells me floTHERM selects a point on the cube to apply the 2W instead of having the whole cube emit the 2W. The question is how does it determine which spot on the cube to apply the 2W, and is it possible for me to control that? |
