Hello Guys,
i am a student of civil engineering at a university in Germany and i am currently writing my master thesis. I am doing 3D-Flow simulations in open channels. In some of my simulation resluts i get these weird fluctuations in the water surface elevation as can be seen in the two images in the appendix. The channels surface is smooth but has a roughness height added to it in Flow 3D. The large jump in free surface elevation is due to an artificial blockage which is the actual topic i am studying. Does anybody have an idea where that might come from or has anybody ever experienced something like this themselves? With best regards Robert |
