Hello guys,
I like to simulate a Multiphaseflow with sand and water. This is going to be an unsteady Simulation. I want to take the Sedimantation and Erosion of Sand into account. Futhermore i dont want to have a sand bed at the start of the Simulation. Iam intereseted at the surfrace/height of the sand bed after a number of simulated seconds. At the end the send bed might be around ~1cm heigh. Its going to be a simulation of scour like this: http://tolu.giub.uni-bonn.de/herget/...hung/kolk1.jpg, although there is no sand bed for the initialisation 1) I've read through all of the Model descriptions of Fluent, but since iam very new to Multiphaseflows, I'd like to hear your opinions about the right Model 2) Do you know or made equal simulations and have you tutorials/papers and so on? Thanks so far Last edited by Alex4456; May 16, 2013 at 06:49. |

Hi
If the amount of solid loading is what you mentioned (<0.01%), then the first choice is DPM but if you're working on sedimentation in a stirred tank, I have to say that there are very few papers that used DPM. A major part of papers usually use Eulerian-Eulerian multiphase model or its simpler form Mixture model. One more thing, if the solid loading is high, then you need to check Granular option in Eulerian model as well. Give me your mail if you want something might be useful.

I have same study and I have no example or tutorial about the scour analysis with Fluent. Did you find the answer about your question? And can you help me please??
