Hi everyone,
i'm trying to model the turbulence in a free convective flow. What is an adequate value of y+ (so i can see if the dimension of the grid that i've generated is correct?). Now i'm using k epsilon model with standard wall functions. David Thanks |

Hi David,
First you decide which turbulence model is best suited for what you're trying to simulate. Then you decide on the wall treatment you want to use. You Y+ value will depend on both these things. For example, the k epsilon model with standard wall functions requires a high value of Y+. generally between 100-300 Thanks & Regards Luke |
