I am doing a noise simulation of an isolated airfoil, and when I looked at the results today they seem to be off by 20-30db. By character the plots are the same for experimental and cfd data, just offset. Do you know if there is something I might be forgetting about that is causing this?
Also it looks like the signals calculated in Fluent have to be A-weighted before being compared with microphone data, is that right? I've uploaded some plots for reference here: http://imageupper.com/g/?S020001004U1375827073108508 (the ones where the SPL is higher are from the experiment) edit: And here are all on one: experiment, simulation, simulation after a-weighting, and with +30dB.
