Hi there,

I am modelling a mold cooling scenario for an injection mold. Heat is applied in the cavity, water flows through a channel and cools it down. I am using SST model for fluid flow. I have been successful with coarse meshes, however on checking for grid independence, and subsequently creating a finer mesh, FLUENT is giving up a lot of errors. I used the same exact settings, and have tried reducing under-relaxation factors.

Errors (or messages): temperature limted to *** etc, so I switched off the energy equation; turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1e5, constantly, no matter how much I adapt, and reversed flow.

Is there something fundamental I am doing wrong? Inlet is specified by velocity and pressure outlet. Mesh is inflated properly along all the boundaries and walls are coupled well.

THanks in advance for any help.

I didn't mention this: Continuity keeps rising and rising in the residual plot. Sometimes it generates a divergence error if the energy equation is on, but continuity happens no matter what.
