Hi everyone, I'm trying to calculate some forces on a valve that operate with a non-newtonian fluid and 50 Mio Pa. I put this pressure in the "operating pressure" box, but I don't understand why the forces don't change if I change this p. Another problem is that the forces see by Fluent are really too low (7000 N) in comparison with the operting pressure. I'm using a pressure based solver so I think the operating pressure should not affect the solution (is an incompressible fluid), so the question is

1)How can I set Fluent in order to consider the real operating pressure in the force calculation?

This is a transient problem and I need to calculate the frequency of variation of the pressure field on a particular surface. I divided my surface from the other parts during the mesh process, so I can plot the value of the pressure on this surface.

2)How can i get the frequency of the pressure field?

Any information would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Dave
