Hi All,
I am using DPM model to perform a simulation (RANS, k-epsilon model) for particle laden non-reacting jets. Now I am trying to output the radial profiles of particle axial velocities. I did not find how I can output them. For gas velocity, I do it using PLOTS, however there I did not the particle related variables. Does anybody know how to do that? Thank you so much. |

As far as I know it is not possible to make such practical plots from particle variables in Fluent. But as this variables are all calculated during the DPM iteration you can write a step-by-step report file from particle tracking variables in particle tracks dialog box.
The report file is sorted by particle ID which makes it not convenient to draw plots from the file. So the report file is needed to be processed. M.S. Excel or other softwares are useful to do statistical operations on Fluent raw output file. Also there is a useful option in particle tracks dialog box which you can use to filter the output by any other variable such as position. Regards, Farzin |
