Question Lift Drag and Reference Values in 2D

Hello, I am trying to obtain lift and drag coefficients and forces of a 2D airfoil I made up. Fluent is the solver. So far my approach is to create a monitor for lift and drag which corresponds to the vector normal to the flow direction and the vector parallel to the flow direction respectively. Then, I create a force parameter using similar vector values before I start my solving process. I do find convergence with some back flow which is likely related to the shape of my farfield perimeter (square) but there's a residual for the values of 1e-6 and the monitors become steady. How much is the accuracy of these values affected by what I choose in the reference value section? How does depth affect the simulation? I appreciate any help you can give me, just try to avoid misinformation. Thanks a lot.
