Hi guys

So my Fluent which is running calculation encountered an "not responding" (judging from the last result file it wrote, it's been freezing for 40 minutes so I chose to force close it instead of keep waiting).

Before it "not responding", I was running a multiphase problem with autosave every timestep and 6 animation sequences.

So I when I opened Fluent from Ansys workbench with a fresh interface (basic settings are still there though). Is it possible to somehow continue my calculation from where it froze??

It has been calculating for 3, 4 days. I dont want to start everything over again...

i tried to import case and data file by

right click setup - import FLUENT case and data - browser

However when I select a ".cas.gz" file in the browser, Ansys says the name-matching ".dat.gz" does not exist, which really annoys me because in the file selectorthere are only display "cas.gz" files displayed and no other options to display "dat.gz" files (the only other options for file type is Fluent mesh file) .

Can anyone help please?? I'm using Ansys 16.1
