Hi,
I am a degree student who currently doing a simulation of 2D fluidized bed combustor for my final year project. I understand that if I want to place a sand into the fluidized bed, I will need to patch a region above the distributor plate. (if i understand correctly). When I start to calculate where the air is flowing from inlet to the bed column, the particles (I used sand) seems to flow through the distributor and go to the inlet. My question is, how is that possible if I had patch a region to be filled with sand? I thought the sand will only circulate at the region I mark? Secondly, I assume the sand as one of the fluid phase. Am I correct? Hoping my doubts can get attention here. Thanks in advance. fen |
