Turbulent model selection and mesh for cylinder-airfoil interaction

Hi, I want to investigate the interaction between an airfoil NACA0010 and upstream rod in air. Also there is a 0.1*chord distance in lateral direction. The point is to calculate the fluctuating force on airfoil.
Re of airfoil is set to be 6.85e4 and to cylinder it becomes 6.5e3.
My question is which turbulent model should I take or the correct method is using laminar? Are there any mesh guide for this configuration.

I recommend you go through this tutorial about simulating compressible flow over an airfoil.
