Hi,

I have injected a DPM source with mass flow rate of 0.000139211 kg/s ,
all particles are also evaporated BUT, when looking at the mass fluxes https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7p...ew?usp=sharing and dpm-summary https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7p...ew?usp=sharing, the mass of the evaporated particles are not the same! It is just 4.107e-05 kg/s as dpm-summary says.

which one is the correct report?

injection: pressure swirl atomizer, steady particle tracking, droplet (+non-premixed combustion)
Model: 2D-Axisymmetric Swirl (so the entered droplet flow rate is the global mass rate)

I appreciate if you can give me some suggestions of the mistakes.

Best,
Zari

Hi
I hope I wasn't too late. The dpm-summary is correct and must be equal to DPM mass flow if all particles are evaporated. How do u recognize all particles are evaporated? maybe some of them are trapped by other boundaries.

Hi Behrooz,

Thank you for the reply,
Regarding the particles state (scaped, evaporated, incomplete, ...) I see it during the iterations on the console. I also check it by dpm summary, and by Injection list.

One thing I learnt is that the better way for the evaporated mass of particles is to use Report/volume report/Sum 2pi, on the dpm mass source in the fluid zone. Because the model is based on 2d-axisymmetric and total mass of the dpm could be integrated in this way.
