Fluent error in saving

Hi

I am facing a problem in saving after running calculation in FLUENT 16. Sometimes, this problem comes up even when i start to calculation. the error message shows like:
C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\flntgz-6762.gz: Permission denied
gzip:
Error: Error writing compressed file "FFF-Setup-Output.cas.gz"

Error: Error writing compressed file
Error Object: #f

Error: Error writing "| gzip -2cf > FFF-Setup-Output.cas.gz".
Error Object: #f

I am using Windows 10. Can someone give a solution for this.

Hi,

you can to see the environment variables and the path of the Ansys, maybe this is the problem.

Thanks for your reply. Can you please elaborate in detail. I could not really understand how to fix that or the problem.

There is a known issue with old versions of Fluent (before v17) in Windows 10 where the gunzip utility will not run. The utility that comes with the Fluent installation simply isn't compatible with Win10 and you need to use one that is. You can test it by manually gunzipping any file using the utility in the Fluent directory. If it fails then you've found the culprit.
