Hello,

I am looking to analyse pressure drop across a boundary region having a structure like below

Any idea on how to begin as structure dimension is very small.

Thanks,

Can someone help in this case?
I'm stuck in this situation as the the part is having very tiny hole like gaps for the flame to pass through. This part will stop the flame to pass and hence there will be pressure drop. I would like to simulate the same in either CFX or FLUENT. Any way i could do the same. How to mesh such a tiny hole? I am thinking to draft a single hole and import geometry in ansys for meshing. But will it be perfect way to find pressure drop across the part which is usually placed in a pipe?

Is it possible to define that portion as porosity? If yes, then how can i find value of porosity knowing pressure drop from practical data?

Thank you so much for your reply Haider.

How to define probe which will show porosity value?
