Dear Colleagues,
I'm running a numerical simulation of water flow in the helically-corrugated tubes. Now I faced the problem of choosing the right turbulence model. I have used STAR-CCM+ where I applied low-Re number Turbulence model. The friction factor values in comparison to the experiments were within 15% difference. Now I would like to improve this results and observe some local characteristics of the flow. Moreover, I have to carry this simulation in FLUENT. Did anybody had the experience with such flows? What turbulence model did you use (in most papers in literature were used k-e RNG, but this model is high Reynolds, and I am afraid of questions about the accuracy of my PhD thesis results) |
