Hi all,
I'm facing a few difficulties in modeling the convective heat transfer between an air-cooled engine and the airflow over it.

Basically I want to run a few steady-state simulations in order to validate the best configuration among the few that I've set up and see which one keeps the engine at the lowest temperature.

I tried a few solutions to model the convection but found no solutions that made sense - I'd expect the air to heat up while it goes down the engine and therefore to have a temperature gradient along the engine. Instead, the engine maintains basically the same temperature over its entire surface and the air has a temperature gradient only in the Y-axis and not in the X-axis.

I have defined two cell zones, fluid (air) and solid (engine). Created an interface (surface of the engine), set it to wall and then selecting Coupled in the Thermal sub-menu. Activated energy equation. Initialized the case and then patched the solid zone to 400 K.
Results show the engine surface ranging 298-300 K which I think makes no sense.

What am I missing and what should I do to properly model my case?

Thanks to who wants to help me a bit.
