Hi,
I am checking the flow Distribution in a packed Bed. The geometry have three zones. 1. Inlet Zone 2. Porous Zone and 3. Outlet Zone I have given the porous zone values (viscous and inertial resistance) and started the analysis. The Residuals of the continuity is alone not converging !!!??. Do i have to add interface between the zones?? |

Yes you need interfaces. Otherwise each of the zones has boundaries and only those boundary conditions are affecting the cell zones.

After setting the interface all the residuals converged easily.
Thank you sir. |
