Asking long term simulation (for example case 10 year) for heat conduction in ground?

Dear all,

I want to simulate the transient heat transfer of conduction heat transfer for ground heat exchanger application by using ANSYS FLUENT. Is fluent capable of doing long term simulation (for example case 10 years)?

How many time steps will be needed to do this simulation?

Can Fluent do it? Yes. There's nothing that limits how long you can simulate except practical limitations.

How many time-steps.... However many you decide based on your time-step size and the total time of 10 yrs.
