Hi all,
Im trying to export a file containing velocity, manipulate the velocity values in excel then save the file as *.prof by changing the extension, finally read the new profile in Fluent. This method used to work just fine but now after changing the extension, the profile does not come up on the reading profile window. What I've noticed is when i the new prof file is read back in Excel, the values look corrupted. Any thoughts? Best. |

The profile that fluent reads and writes is just a plain text file. It should work regardless of what the extension is.
If the file does not show up in the reading pane, then that means you didn't change the extension, but only the file name. What does the file look like in a text editor like notepad? |

Thanks for the reply. Well, the extension is surely changed to .prof. I attach the pic of the file after changing the extension. |
