Hi all!
I need to make an ANSYS simulation of a VAWT. What I need is for the turbine itself to be turned by the air, rather than turning like a fan causing the air to move. I've managed to make a fan as there is a setting for how fast you want a body to rotate, but to use the software to establish the rotational velocity caused by the airflow in a turbine is not so obvious. Also I'm assuming the the moment of inertia of the turbine will be relevant and I can't see how this is accounted for anywhere? Any guidance on how to get started on this problem would be great. Many thanks John |
