The "convective" thermal boundary condition for a wall requires the user to specify the heat transfer coefficient alongside the external temperature. Is this "heat transfer coefficient" meant to be the total heat transfer coefficient or the convective heat transfer coefficient?

As an aside, is the total heat transfer coefficient the same as the material U-value?
