Hi all,
I'm working with a k-e enhanced wall function model applied to an aerofoil in transitional flow. I've extracted the y+ value from FLUENT at the wall as ~3.3. I've also calculated u+ and y+ values along a line perpendicular to the wall, where the y+ at the first grid point was calculated as 5.8. I know y+ ~ 3.3 is high for enhanced wall functions but I'm confused as to why my calculated value does not match FLUENTs. I've tried extracting from cell centre and from node in FLUENT but it does not make a significant difference. I'm very confused so I'd appreciate any insight |
