Performance of dual core AMD processors -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Imraan Parker Guest Posts: n/a	Hi I need some advice on the (Fluent) performance of the AMD Opteron 275 dual core CPU's w.r.t. a 3.6 GHz Xeon processor. I haven't found any Fluent benchmark info comparing these two processors. At the moment I am looking at purchasing either a Dell 670 (Intel based CPU) or a HP xw9300 (AMD). The SPEC performance figures indicate that the HP is the better option. Comments? Thanks
