I have just completed a 2-D aerofoil in gambit and fluent, and want to proceed to 3-D but don't know where to start. I understand that 2-D is the basis but how do i construct the domain? Can anyone please help. Thank You

I can give you a set of data points for a 3-D airfoil flow problem if you want. But this might take some time. I got this data from an extensive google search. Try it and leme know if you still need me.

Hi. once you have constructed everything 2d in gambit (aerofoil, rectangular domain..etc), all you need to do is select your 2d faces and use the sweep volume tool to whatever depth you want. (do this for aerofoil and the enclosing box so you have 2 volumes).then you need to subtract the aerofoil volume from your larger volume to create the flow domain. hope this helps
