Hallo,
I must simulate a virtual environment, with air, in order to investigate the influence of solar radiation to the performance of different air temperature sensors. The problem could be simply described as follows: We have a sensor and above of it a small radiation shelter (dimensions around 0.1 m). Both of them are located in a volume of 1m3. We want to apply a solar model, reasonable value around 600-800 W/m2, 50% visible and 50% IR. Assume that direct radiation is 50% and 50% diffuse. The body of the sensor is polyethylene as the shelter and both of them are white color with shiny surface, so the properties are well know. We are not interested in simulating the sun position, etc. My questions are: 1. Is there any tutorial about solar model in Fluent? 2. Which is the best approach? Ray tracing or DO and with which radiation model? 3. Any idea about the BC regarding the walls of the sensors and the surface from which the radiation comes? Any answer is welcome. |
