why the torque is so big?

Hi all,
I am doing a wind turbine simulation and the tested wind turbine is 20 kw, untwisted rotor sized at a diameter of 10.1m and constant chord length is 0.458m. MRF and sliding mesh both were used in my model, viscous model is standard k-e, rotational speed is 72 rpm, and I don't know why the torque imported from fluent is so big, the final output power is over 100 kw. does somebody can tell me what is the main problem may cause that issue. By the way, I do not adjust the reference value, the default value of area is 1, does the reference value may influence the simulated result? hope someone can help me get through it. Thank you Han |

Did you change the reference values??

Reference values do have the influence for calculation like aerodynamic coefficients and moment as it is used for dynamic force calculation.. Did u check it?
