Supersonic + VOF in fluent

gghazal is on a distinguished road
I want to set up a calculation for a supersonic gas jet impinging on a liquid surface
I heard that Fluent is not able to model compressible supersonic flows while using the VOF scheme and that it is very unstable.
Is this true ?
