Hi..I am modeling savonius rotor to study about the torque coefficient for different shapes. But, for starting, I am modeling the conventional savonius shape as to validate the result with the journal papers. I used the settings suggested in the paper(realizable k-e model). Unfortunately, I could not get the correct result, where the torque coefficient is 2 to 3 times higher than is should be.
I have tried both steady and unsteady simulation, but is does not help much with the result. And, I also get the warning message that the turbulent viscosity is limited. Does this have anything to do with the inaccuracy of the result? And what are the other possible causes for the error? Please give any relevant suggestion for my situation...Thank you very much. |
