Dear all,
I'm running Ansys fluent v15.0 on Dell R920 server( 96 cores, 128GB RAM, Windows server 2012 R2 64 bit OS). I run fluent in parallel mode with following parameters: - Number of processes: 70 - Run Type: shared memory on local machine - Dimension: 3D - Other options: default values But when the software running, i realized that only 12-16 GB of RAM is used, the remaining memory was still free (while 70 core processor was running 100% load), so, the simulation was very slow. Anyone can give me some ideas to fix it? Many thanks!!! |

I see nothing unusual here. The amount of allocated memory for a simulation depends on the amount of cells and some other simulation parameters. It must be less than the total amount of physical memory available, otherwise the simulation would run even slower.
