Hello everyone, I wanted to ask you for information.
I was thinking of generating a simple cluster with two PCs: - Master Node: CPU: intel i7 7700 (3.6Ghz - 4.20 Ghz) RAM: 40GB DDR4 2400MHz - Slave Node CPU: intel i7 3630qm RAM: 12 GB DDR3 1600MHz I wanted to ask you if there is the possibility of setting a ram threshold in the master node (e.g. 28 Gb ram) over which the slave node is activated in the mesh procedure with SnappyHexMesh. So you can take advantage of 52GB ram. In the event that this possibility did not exist, having 40 GB ram available, how many millions of cells can I generate in the mesh phase using SnappyHexMesh? With a 64GB RAM? The second question concerns calculation times. According to you using the master node cpu and the slave node cpu could I save time compared to using only the master node? Would I run the risk of saturating the RAM in the Slave Node? Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for any answers. |
