While I don't have first hand experience with Cart3D, by all accounts it is an excellent and highly capable CFD solver. This NASA code (http://people.nas.nasa.gov/~aftosmis...art3Dhome.html) may still be available to a restricted audience (e.g. U.S. citizens and/or those with U.S. government contracts) at little or no cost. I assume that ANSYS' version (http://www.ansys.com/products/icemcfd-mesh/cart3d.asp) is equally good but I have no idea what they charge for it. |
