cfd seeker is on a distinguished road
Hello all,

I have some CFD results for Engine simulations and need to interpret them. The simulations are fuel spray simulations in GDI engine and the purpose of the study is to evaluate the mixture formation in GDI engine. I have results for Homogeneity Index, Tumble ratio and Turbulent kinetic energy. I am confused about Homogeneity index. I looked in the literature but unable to find its proper definition w.r.t to engine mixture formation. Is this parameter same as Equivalence ratio? If not what's the proper definition of Homogeneity index? and what's the difference between Homogeneity index and equivalence ratio?

I will appreciate any help.

Thanks
