mairy is on a distinguished road
I am currently trying to model sedimentation using MFIX-DEM with periodic boundary condition assumption. Is MFIX software suitable for simulating sedimentation phenomena?

The problem I am facing is that MFIX is predicting the sedimentation velocities 100 to 1000 times of the expected value. I cannot understand the possible reason behind this discrepancy.

The system I am using is a rectangular periodic box. Gas-Solid system is used with a solid volume fraction of 0.02.
