Hello guys,
I am new to flamelet method, and currently working on the flamelet/progress variable (FPV) approach. I am just very confused about how to uniquely determined a flame state along the S-shape curve with a given progress variable C (here C is defined as a sum of mass fractions of CO2, CO, H2O and H2)?
I meet this problem when attempting to retrieve certain thermochemical variables with given values of Z and C. I have generated several flamelet solutions along the S-shape curvre, and my understanding is that I need first to determine which flamelet (solution) is about to use, and then find the values of the thermochemical variables of interest within that flamelet by using Z. Now I am stuck in the first step of identifying a proper flamelet solution.
Any help is sincerely appreciated.
Best regards,
Chenyang
