I am simulating the oblique shock interaction over a laminar boundary layer using a 3D Navier-Stokes code (explicit) based on Van Leer Flux Vector Splitting method. The freestream M is 2.0, Re=.294x10^5 (based on shock interaction location) and the oblique shock angle is 32.58 degree. The grids are i(x)=101,j(y)=71,k(z)=6 directions with TANH clustering in the bl. The solution is not able to resolve the shock induced separation on the flat plate. Whereas the literature gives shock induced separation with grids of i=51 and j=41 itself !. What could be the reason?
