Hi Neils,

I'm new to waves2Foam. I just got OpenFOAM-v2206 and waves2Foam set up in my windows subsystem Linux - ubuntu.
I tried the tutorial case waveFlume, standingWave, and 3Dwaves. The results look weird, and it's very obvious for the wave shape of waveFlume case. The wave interface for alpha.water=0.5 is not a smooth wave shape. The tutorial case was run as it was, and no modification was made to the case.

See attached screenshots.

Any idea why this happens and how to fix it?

I managed to figure this tutorial case issue out. I post it here in case other people encounter similar issues in the future.

The fix is actually simple, I tried many ways and eventually found out it was because of the tutorial case wave amplitude/wave height was too high compared to the water depth. The original waveheight was 0.1 in constant/waveProperties.input, after I changed it to 0.2, the wave are all normal now. I compared it with theoretical solution for stokesFirst, it's all right.

I'm not sure why the tutorial case set up that way and causes issues, but that's what I found.
