Foamsystemcheck returns an error on my linux -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

anosh New Member Anosh Thomas Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Bremen, Bremen, Germany Posts: 1 Rep Power: 0	Hallo, i am an absolute fresher to Openfoam. i downloaded all the files and created the necessary folders and unpacked the files. before starting the installation , i tried to run the script foamSystemcheck (accoring to the README FILE) and have obtained some errors regarding network host etc.. which i dont understand. why is networking necessary when i want to run Openfoam on a PC. Further i dont understand the steps in the README -appendix regarding networking. can anyone help me find a way out ?
