Hello everyone,

I have a problem about obtaining streamlines for a uniform flow around rotating cylinder. I use OpenFOAM v10 and use the basic/potentialFoam/cylinder as a base case.

First of all, I changed the geometry to the full body using gmsh. After it, I changed boundary conditions a little bit for U and p. In the base case, cylinder had been assigned as symmetry and I changed it to wall in the boundary file and then I added rotatingWallVelocity to U and zeroGradient to p.

After solution; in the streamline results, I do not see the rotating wall effect. Streamlines behave just like they are in a uniform flow. You can see the full case files in the below link and an image of a result.
