Heat Flux calculation

I am running a case of Natural convection from a vertical heated flat plate with buoyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam with OpenFOAM 4.x. And beside this, a case with a vertical wavy plate.
I need to quantify the heat flux to evaluate which performs the best. I know that a solution might be to evaluate the local and average Nusselt number of the plates, but my weak coding skill and the too little time available, made me give up to try to build a code to evaluate the Nusselt number along the wall. Is there an alternative way for me to evaluate the heat flux with OpenFOAM? Is it doable to transfer my mesh in CFX and then evaluate there the Nusselt Number? Thanks for the help, I am kind of desperate now. |

Can you export the data to Fluent (using foamMeshToFluent and foamDataToFluent) and then open it in CFD-Post?

It might be an idea, but to be honest, I do not know how to do it.
I tried to write in the terminal foamMeshToFluent when I am in the case directory but nothing happended. Could you tell me the steps to follow to convert the mesh and the data? Thank you so much, I am in a very hard situation. |

Did it not create a directory called 'fluentInterface' in the simulation directory?
