Value of alpha at cell's center and value at cell's vertex

Hi everyone,

Could you please help me to explain how we can get value at cell's vertex as shown in the attached image.
As I understand, alpha is volScalarField then it is determined at cell's center. However, when I use point view mode in Paraview, it is also display at point.
I am quite being confusion on this.

ParaView interpolates values from cell centers to nodes. You can disable this by "unchecking" box "Create cell-to-point filtered data" while opening the case
