Hey together,

could it be possible that we cannot simply calculate the average field value of a specified quantity such as the temperature or pressure? I am aware of the fieldAverage object function but this will create a new vol*Field and I am just interested in the overall average value. An example, I am interested in the average temperature in the whole domain. If there is no option, I may add the average value to the min/max object function.

there are also the following might-be-relevant functionObjects, if need be (or in case of they would slip under your radar):

valueAverage
surfaceFieldValue
surfaceInterpolate
fieldMinMax
fieldValueDelta
