Hi
I've been struggling to understand the way OF exportrs the data file to a fleunt format. I've exported mesh file via foamMeshToFluent and data file via foamDataToFluent as instructed. I managed to import the results in the Fluent and create a case file. My geometry is simply a column against the flow. As shown in image-1, the pressure field on the column is visulised in Paraview as a caluclated by OpenFOAM. I then read the pressure in Fluent as shown is image-2, it however returns 0 pressure on the column surface that can't be correct!. I don't understand where I'm missing the procedure. I have tried another model with plate just to be sure but resulted the same. As shown in image-3, the total pressure of the same data file returns some values in Fluent but sttaic pressure is zero. I need to couple this column with ANSYS mechanical where the stress in the base of column can be calculated. As expected the mapped pressure is zero as apparently ANSYS mechanical reads static pressure as the field. I'd appreciate for any guidance if someone have come across this issue before. |
