Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there is a working population balance equation solver implemented to OpenFOAM? Right now I can only find 2 paper (one by Silva & Lage and one by Carneiro). Both describe an implementation to the solver twophaseeulerfoam. Is there already a code implemented to OpenFOAM, that has coalescence and breakup models, or do I need to redo ther work? Later on I will need to integrate the energy equation as well, because I need to derive an temperature profile. Is there a version of twophaseeulerfoam with an integrated balance? Is there another solver (e.g. lagrangian) I should prefer? I was thinking of using eigther dieselfoam or sprayfoam. |

There aren't any publicly available, although there's a lot of literature around. What method do you want? It's incredibly problem dependent.
You can always contact the authors of the papers you're reading and ask for their code. There's some stuff starting to appear on bitbucket/github as well (for moment methods): https://bitbucket.org/albertop/univa...aussquadrature https://github.com/lrm29/momentInversion
