Hello,
New to OF, I successfully ran this tutorial [1] with minor modifications for OpenFOAM-v1612+. Now, I'm trying to build a similar case using my propeller instead of the rotor. My first goal is to check the moving mesh. If I use the following parameters in sHM, createPatch gives result1_AMI containing result1_movingWall. The AMI is incorrect, which is normal. castellatedMeshControls { ... maxLocalCells 24000; maxGlobalCells 48000; ... } If I slightly increase the values, createPatch gives result2. The AMI seems correct but my propeller disappeared. castellatedMeshControls { ... maxLocalCells 24375; maxGlobalCells 48750; ... } Did I miss something ? -- Fabien [1] http://www.holzmann-cfd.de/index.php...ving-rotor-ami |

The problem did not come from createPatch but from the STL given to sHM.
I rebuilt the propeller in salome. Next step is to refine the propeller. |
