Hi,
I'm trying to use mapFields to copy fields from an old low quality mesh to a similar mesh with better quality. The old mesh involves flow past a moving airfoil and dynamic mesh was used. Due to the large pitching angle of the airfoil, the old mesh quality had dropped. Hence a new mesh is generated. However, after using mapFields, I found that only U and p and cellDisplacement are copied. pointDisplacement is not copied and when I re-run the simulation with the new mesh, pimpleFoam complains that there's no pointDisplacement file. May I know why this is so? So in that case, how can I resume a simulation involving a moving airfoil which uses dynamicMesh with a new better quality mesh? Thanks. |

But that kind of messed up the addresses and didn't allow me to mesh for any other case even. Your's was simple and straight forward
