In my geometry, I have two cylinder which is indicated by 'volume-1' and 'volume-2'. But I can't add physical volume for these two cylinder separately.

Why is that and What is the solution?

In chtMultiregion case problem, I have to split mesh region, If I can't add physical volume

Does splitMeshRegion split mesh into multiple region?

This time I have tried with a single cylinder but gmshToFoam gives the following error

Starting to read mesh format at line 2
Read format version 4.1 ascii 0

Starting to read physical names at line 5
Physical names:3

Skipping tag $Entities at line 11
Starting to read points at line 23
Vertices to be read:9

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
Attempt to get back from bad stream

file: IStringStream.sourceFile at line 0.

From function bool Foam::Istream::getBack(Foam::token&)
in file db/IOstreams/IOstreams/Istream.C at line 56.

FOAM exiting

I am using Gmsh 4.6.0.

Hi
First solve your problem with gmsh, then I'll be able to help you.
