Hello!
I'm working with the extended OpenFOAM version 3.0. I have to do a simulation of oil in the journal bearing. The part of the simulated surface is a borehole, which should to rotate (Fig. 1). I programmed the rotating in C++ and I changed dynamic settings in the file setBatch. The borehole is rotating but after some time a thickness in the z-direction is increased (front and back are empty). Fig. 2 I think that the problem is in the function velocity in the file myRotatingOscillation.C, where is the rotating tensor defined. Does anyone know the solution for this problem? Figures, file setBatch and myRotatingOscillation can be seen below. |

What method are you using? Can you show your code?

I'm using the method of cell's annihilation. I attach my testcase (rotatorisch4) where are defined: dynamic settings, boundaries and geometry. This testcase can be started with the command: ./Allrun
I also attach the file solidBodyMotion. There can be found the file myRotatingOscillation, where the rotating in C++ programmed ist. |
