Hi,
I am trying to implement a HVAC model in a building. I would like to represent the HVAC network in one 1D and solve equations at the nodes of the 1D model and couple the 1D HVAC network to the 3D computational domain of the building. Is it possible to solve to represent an equation at the nodes in OpenFOAM. I get the sense that OpenFOAM generates the values at the cell centers and you can interpolate these values to the patch faces but I have not come across anything having to do with values at the nodes. I have other questions that I would like to ask but i would appreciate any answer to my question. Thanks |

I do not understand exactly what you want to do but you can apply a weighted average of all cell center values surrounding a node (if you mean a point out of which the computational grid is composed)

Probably the Funktion mesh.pointCells() should do the job https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...8C_source.html
